About Us

No Name Outdoors, head quartered in Northwest Montana, is the brainchild of Eastern Washington grad student Devon Cox. Created as his master thesis for the school’s MBA program Cox invited his brother, Blaine, and childhood friend Zachary Pitts to turn the idea into reality. On September 9, 2009 the dream materialized as NoNameOutdors.com was launched.

All three co-founders were raised in the southwest corner of the Flathead Indian Reservation in Dixon, MT, a map dot with just over 200 inhabitants. Growing up they spent many days hunting, fishing, and looking for local wildlife. In an effort to encourage and promote these traditions as invaluable learning and teaching tools and a way to provide for family and friends they founded a free service for people to share hunting and fishing stories, experience, and knowledge. Along with the sharing aspect there is also a homepage intended to both educate and entertain the members.

No Name Outdoors was also founded with hopes of defending 2nd amendment rights and the conservation of public lands for hunting and fishing.
